A park worker was rescued Thursday night by firefighters as rains flooded a Richfield Park.
The worker was trying to clear campers and block the roadway along the Yellow River at Northwood County Park in Richfield when the raging waters carried his pickup truck off the road.
The Richfield Rural Fire Department responded to the scene and deployed their water rescue assets, according to Fox11.
In a dramatic video, the specially trained firefighters used a rope system and rescue boat to maneuver through the rapidly moving water to the truck where the worker was trapped. They provided him with a personal flotation device before bringing him into the boat.
They were able to return him to where he was evaluated and released after suffering no injuries
